Fast trip to Virpiniemi track

Our team was heading to the Virpiniemi early saturday morning. The long 700km journey went quite nice in a changeable weather. The only worry was my swollen and painful thumb. There was a cat at our yard in the previous evening and I managed to save it from dogs and got a bite as a thanks. Also Icetrick got some scratches to his ear and eyebrow.

We reached the track in the early evening after 9 hours driving. The weather was windy and that kept the mosquitos away, so it was much nicer to sit on the fire and have some beer.

Next morning was sunny and hot. The first race was won by Grand Ruler with very good time 16.66/280m. in the next race we had 2 dogs, Icetrick and Rittenhouse. We have been waiting the good jump from Norris, but not at this time eather. Still good 2nd (16.78) after Glad Goblinin (16.70). Ritsa was good at the last straight finishing 3rd (16.82). In that heat was also one of Icetrick's son, Taylor´s Trick in his first lisence run. It was tough race for a youngster, but he did it with time 17.56. In the next race we had Maker´s Mark on 520m. Zingo was little bit stiff right from the beginning and he was 3rd 31.78, the winner was Raven Heart 31.24. Cypress Night was in the toughest race of the day against the comets of the season, Mr Moose and Black Dog. Sysi jumped out good and was 2nd behind Mr Moose till the 3rd bend, when Black Dog passed her. Strongly she kept that position and finished 3rd 31.15. The winner Mr Moose did 30.63 and Black Dog 30.80.

After races 2 our young bitches, Spiceice and Trick´s Tot took the sololisence. Their brother,  Icesurrender had a trial in short distance, running good 17.25/ 280m. So did also Beyond The Stars, who made a sizzling 16.44!

During our trip The Other Taylor was resting at home. She will whelp next week. Look this littersite.

The sire of this litter Fire Whiz's son in Australia, Whata Whiz keeps winning. Last saturday he took his 5th win at Wangaratta with a good time 27.07/474m, it means 27.41 in 480 metres!
