Racing round the world

In Finland it was little bit quiet racing weekend because Cypress Night, Rittenhouse and Maker's Mark were resting to the Finnish Championships. At Tampere evening races we had only Icetrick and his son Icesurrender in his second lisence run.

Pipo showed some pace when he after slow start took the lead just before first bend. At the 3rd bend everything seemed good but then he lost his speed. After race he was limping his left front leg and had some pain in his wrist. Anyway it was a good lisence run and now he got his lisence. 
Norris made a normal race finishing 3rd with time 16.80. The winner was Mr Moose with a new track record again,  16.33. 

In Sweden our bred Rebel Yell made a brilliant run in Elitloppet. With really good dogs, after slow start and some bumps it was enormous run to be 3rd. Pilli seems to be in very good condition and we hope he'll keep it going.

Very good news came from Australia, where Joyful Hawk has recovered from her injured toe and she was in the biggest coursing race, Waterloo Cup. In Australia coursing is running on the straight track behind the lure. Many times it's just for training but in the Waterloo Cup there were also 10.000$ prizemoney for the winner. The Cup started at saturday with 64 dogs in. The distance to run was 340m. JoJo won every 3 courses and she was among the 8 best to the sunday races, only bitch. At sunday she won her first course and was in the semifinals, but couldn't reach the final. Very strong performance and she showed that toe is ok and condition too. Waterloo Cup winner was Shrek (Prince Of Tigers-Speed Dancer), 2nd Willy Cuthbert (Lansley Bale-Cuthbert's Lass) and the other semifinalist like JoJo was this year Bendigo Cup winner and Australian Cup finalis Hey Brother (Heading West-Can Collect). Next saturday JoJo will race at The Meadows and the distance is little bit longer,  600 m.
