Temppu and Poju passed away

2 weeks ago was very sad day to kennel Run-Up. We had to put down our 2 old friends. Temppu was lying down and couldn't stand up any more.  Poju was staggering beside Temppu. He was under a very strong painkiller and he has stopped eating couple of days before. Then we decided that boys will go together to their last trip.

Temppu was over 12 years old, but Poju wasn't so old. He used to be very active and happy dog, but just after newyear he was cooling down. At first we tought that maybe it's his 7 years age, but he was so half-hearted and even looked little bit sore. After many examinations our vet found a rupture in his neck. Probably he has injured it during the winter, when he was playing with the pups in our yard. We didn't want him to suffer painful and uncertain surgery. We hope boys are feeling good now.

Trio's Lass broke a hock, racing career is over

Another bad news came from Australia where our part owned bitch, Trio's Lass snapped her hock at Wangaratta. This multiple citywinner was running her best race ever, leading 12 lenghts when 80 metres before she broke a hock.

She had a surgery, but now she will start her life as a brood bitch.

Our dear friends, Poju and Temppu passed away...

Something good...

Norris has started his racing as a veteran very well. 4 veteran races and 3 wins. He was also good in Sprint Derby heats, where he was close to reach the final among the younger dogs.

Also his offsprings has raced well. In the last race Totalice and Trick's Tot took a double and week before that Better Man and Taylor's Trick made the same. Also Catch The Ice in Sweden is going well.

Sysi and Zingo has also won in this season. Sysi split her web when she won and we had to put 3 stitches to it, so she has missed couple of races, but will be in next sunday again.

We heard promising news about our aussie girl Joyful Hawk. She's so fat that her coat is too small, so hopefully we will get a real nice pup to Finland next autumn.
